Brett Porcelain Sandstone Paving
At ALS Landscaping, we offer full garden landscaping in Lincolnshire, as well as driveways and paving. Here’s one project we completed for a client – even though we had to battle through the winter weather!
What was the project?
This project was a full landscape for the back garden. It included fencing, new lawn, porcelain patio, block paved paths and a new block paved drive. Previously, the garden had broken and uneven concrete paths – it needed a change.
This project brought about its own challenges for the team. The time of year and the weather were not on our side!
We broke ground in January under rain and snow conditions. We worked with the customer to complete the project in stages, so that we could minimise disruption and mess. To start with, we just worked on the back garden, so the client could still access the front of the house.
What was the result?
We installed the new fencing first. Then we moved on to excavating the back garden and the broken paths.
We installed drainage works, before building the hardcore up in layers for the patio and the paths. We ensured all the edges were laid correctly.
The customer’s chosen option was Brett Eden Sandstone in Autumn Blend, edged with a Charcoal Luna Block to give some interest and add a feature to the garden. Once this had been installed the team moved to the side of the house and the drive, installing the ground works and new Aco drainage along the threshold.
We then installed the driveway with Block Paving in Silver Haze with a feature border in Charcoal Luna. We also incorporated a raised planter in the corner of the driveway, and our signature feature threshold entrance at the front edge of the driveway laid at 45 degrees.
