Veranda And Paving Project Overview
This is one of our latest projects, completed in North Hykeham, Lincoln, and is a breathtaking transformation of a simple decked garden into something truly magical.
Our clients, Anthony and Susie, requested a garden renovation and trusted ALS Landscaping to bring about the desired changes. We have taken the standard terraced back garden and transformed it into a stunning Verdana and paved terrace, perfect for use in all weather conditions and ideal for everything from a quiet cup of tea alone to entertaining guests with a dinner party.
This was a fairly small renovation for our team, but an impactful one nonetheless, complete with some unique features that perfectly align with our client’s style.
Designing The Patio, Veranda And Paving Project
To fit in with the modern, luxurious appearance of the property the team at ALS Landscaping has crafted a bespoke patio and barrier for our clients, complete with a veranda.
The highlight of this elegant outdoor area is the glass balustrades which are fitted with aluminium handrails for a seamless barrier to the space that not only provides safety but also enhances the stunning views while separating the garden into unique sections.
Leading up to the patio, the concrete steps needed some work and this was an add-on service for our team. We are meticulous in our projects and offer complete care to our clients, ensuring that no stone is left unturned.
By cladding the steps in porcelain, they now match the patio and provide a seamless appearance to the garden as a whole. It is these details that set ALS Landscaping apart from any other.
Porcelain Paving From Brett: A Sleek, Modern Patio
The main part of this veranda and paving project was installing the patio area, where our clients can enjoy the outdoors and the incredible views of their property no matter the weather.
The patio was constructed using stunning porcelain paving in Dove Grey from Brett, with a black anthracite border to match the stairs and deliver a striking contrast to the space.
ALS Landscaping is a Brett Premier Paving Installer, allowing us to provide a comprehensive range of paving materials and colours to design your perfect outdoor space.
Slimline slot channels were also installed around the patio area to provide excellent drainage, effectively managing any rainwater to prevent flooding, mould and other water damage. These channels will allow for excellent water runoff, diverting it to the main system.
The Highlight
While a lot of this project was focused on groundwork, the most striking element of our work here is the veranda.
ALS Landscaping is partnered with DePonti, a luxury outdoor veranda, roofing and sliding glass door company. The veranda used for this project is the Giallo, which is one of their mid to top-of-the-range products, delivering the elegance and style our clients desire for their outdoor space.
Verandas are a great addition to any outdoor space, particularly one like this which is so open to the elements as it can add at least two more months to your outdoor seasons. With a veranda, you can spend more time outdoors even as the temperatures start to dip as they provide excellent shelter for your outdoor furniture and yourself. This means you have more time to enjoy your outdoor space and the incredible new design implemented by our team.
The Finished Result
This project took our team approximately 10 days to complete, but even in such a short amount of time, the transformation is evident.
Through the work of our team, the once rotting deck has been completely transformed into a stunning, elegant outdoor area complete with screening and lighting. The new patio can be used no matter the weather, thanks to the veranda, and our clients have more time to enjoy the stunning views.
