Large Patio Transformation, Ingham

This is the largest patio transformation ALS Landscaping has performed to date and an amazing example of the work we can do. This project was two-fold for a returning client, who desired a renovated front and back garden. This build was completed using Brett porcelain paving, Egyptian limestone and block-paved pathways for a truly breathtaking finish.

Garden & Patio Transformation Overview

We first worked with this client in 2023, installing Lincolnshire fencing in their back garden. After being pleased with the results, they invited us back to discuss improvements to their patio areas.

During our consultation, we introduced the benefits of a full garden design package, and the clients chose to proceed with a comprehensive design for both the front and rear gardens.

The design process began in early 2024. The existing space featured old imprinted concrete, so we worked closely with the clients to reimagine both gardens, ensuring every detail aligned with their lifestyle, aesthetic preferences, and long-term plans for the property.

Our Largest Patio Transformation to Date

Construction started in spring 2025, with the centrepiece being the largest patio we have ever built.

The materials and layout included:

  • Brett porcelain paving (600 x 900) in Lastall Beige
  • Egyptian limestone setts, adding a premium natural stone finish
  • Herringbone pattern detailing, giving the patio a striking, elegant character

This combination created a beautifully balanced modern-meets-traditional aesthetic with exceptional durability.

Pathways, Allotment Area & Raised Planters

Beyond the main patio, additional hard landscaping was carried out to transform the rest of the garden, so it complemented the client’s lifestyle and property. This landscaping work involved:

  • Block-paved paths leading to a newly constructed allotment area
  • Reclaimed brick and block raised planters built to give the allotment structure and character
  • Carefully designed layout to maximise usability and cohesiveness across the property

These features blended seamlessly with the patio, creating a functional and attractive garden layout.

Essential Groundworks & Utilities

To ensure long-term performance and ease of maintenance, we carried out:

  • Extensive land drainage across the project
  • Connection to mains water
  • Installation of two outdoor taps for efficient irrigation

These upgrades significantly improved the practicality and resilience of the outdoor space. Working with ALS Landscaping provides comprehensive coverage of all landscaping and paving, as we provide these essential groundworks. We design and build gardens that withstand the test of time and are suitable for the local region.

Project Opportunities And Outcome

The entire project was expertly managed and completed by Micky and his team. Thanks to their precision, experience and attention to detail, the build was completed in 8 weeks, transforming both the front and back gardens into beautifully crafted, long-lasting outdoor spaces.

This project also allowed us to use our new MultiOne machine, which is a major investment to increase efficiency, reduce manual labour and improve speed and accuracy on complex builds. It proved invaluable throughout the project and is now a key part of our long-term landscaping toolkit.
