Contemporary Garden Design Project Overview
When our clients first approached us in early 2025, they were unsure about whether they needed a professional garden design service. After a site consultation with our team, where we visited their property and explained the advantages of our service, they opted for our full garden design package.

3D Garden Design Visuals
Our clients had a strong vision for a garden that embraced soft geometry, favouring curves and circular features throughout the layout. We started with a full 3D garden design to show our customer exactly what the finished garden would look like.
A Garden Built Around Curves & Circular Themes
To align with our client’s vision for their contemporary garden design, we developed a creative plan using:
- Cornten steel edging to form sweeping curves
- Corten steel raised square planters to balance the round shapes
- Flowing planting areas that tie the design together
This combination brought structure, warmth, and architectural interest to the garden.
Privacy Screening with Pleached Trees
To provide screening from neighbouring properties, we installed pleached trees at the rear boundary. These were positioned in large corten steel troughs, giving height, elegance, and effective year-round privacy.
Premium Porcelain Patio & Pergola Feature
The main entertaining area features a spacious porcelain patio laid using Brett Eden Fawn 1200×600 tiles. This creates a clean, modern space with a warm colour tone that complements the corten steel.
Above the patio, we constructed a large timber pergola, adding shade, structure, and a focal point for outdoor living. To complete the ambience, festoon lighting was added to the pergola, creating a welcoming evening atmosphere.
Gravel Paths, Arena Turf & Professional Planting Plan
The connecting pathways were built using gravel grid systems, filled with pink granite gravel for stability and aesthetic appeal. A new arena turf lawn was installed, offering a durable, high-quality green space that contrasts beautifully with the hard landscaping.
Our horticulturist, Terry, designed a full planting plan for all beds in this contemporary garden design, ensuring year-round colour, texture, and seasonal interest.
